This version still has the large six pin glass tubes but many improvements were already incorporated by the time D-706 was built, probably around late 1944 to early 1945. Note that the serial number uses the &#8220;D&#8221; prefix which was also assigned to the first HRO production run in 1935, however the number at &#8220;706&#8221; is much higher than the numbers assigned in the initial &#8220;D&#8221; run. Also, note that this receiver has the Marion Electric 0-1mA S-meter that was installed on some of the WWII production HROs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was produced since 1942.
